Becoming a vendor at Sea Hive

After my husband & I moved to San Diego, we visited the Second Sunday Flea hosted by Sea Hive at Liberty Station. I was awed by the scale and the unique collection of vintage & local maker goods. I was determined to become a vendor and I applied using their vendor application form. That was April 2022.

I didn’t hear back from anyone even after a follow up. I was a bit disappointed but I consoled myself that there would be other opportunities.

February 2023, after almost a year, I received an unexpected message that they have an open spot and they were interested in having us as a vendor at their Oceanside shop. I squealed with excitement! After a few phone calls and a shop visit to check out the open spot, Turtle Heights was official!

Getting declined or not hearing back can cause an immense amount of self doubt. Through this experience I was relieved that I didn’t give up and I realized it’s true that when a door closes there’s always another one waiting somewhere. Don’t give up friends! Bounce back and keep doing your thing. Your artistry & effort will be noticed!

If you're in the San Diego area, and you LOVE vintage & local maker products, make sure to visit Sea Hive Marketplace in Oceanside! Check out some unique finds and of course 💚 Turtle Heights 💚
